I remeber feeling very progressive when I got my daughter her first educational software, Reader Rabbit, bought in the early 1990s. Now known a 22-yaer-old college graduate, they and many never her as a world without computers. They not only makes use of an internet-enable phone to communicate constantly, but her job as an emergency  nurse also requires the skills of the computer. So, needless to say, I am strong proponent of the use of educational technology, both in the classroom and at home. Whether we like it or not-it is a part of our daily lives now.

But that is only the first of a few reasons I support the use of technology with young children.

A second reason is that the use of educational technology in early education programs tend to level the playing field between those who have access at home this educational and those who do not. Use of computers and other technology in schools can help all children develop the necessary life-skills needed in our technologically-oriented society.

Many expert recommend that all early childhood classrooms have a Center for educational technology in which a computer, printer, digital camera, age-appropriate educational software and access to the Internet. We would like to suggest that these centers also a variety of educational DVDs and videos for those students who learn best with the added audio visual element that these media provide. Because children learn at different rate, otherwise, require different stimuli, when technology integration in the lessons, it's important to want to use for all forms of technology-not just a few.

When creating such a technology center, here are some things to remember.

Technology is no substitute for the teacher. Technology elements, or Computers or Educational DVDs and videos, are only tools that are designed to help children learn. The teacher is still the Guide.

The attention age, developmental levels and application students individual needs when selecting software. videos, and other technology. Don't forget the parents. Work together with them and give their children the importance of their involvement in watching a play educational television program or work with computers.

Monitor the use by children from all forms of technology with headphones. Some research suggest that the volume on which children listen to the music very can be harmful. In other words, what education technology must be properly integrated into the classroom, is a good old fashioned lesson plan.

The small company that I work for is committed to creating quality educational videos for classroom unstruction. From the early script, are all subject area content, pictures and music intensely reviewed and selected for appropriate grade level, curriculum objectives and standards for our own productions. The videos we distribute are also screened to meet our high standards.

Teachers in the classroom of the 21st century will be better educators if they understand how to use multimedia in their classes, if they understand the processes that research has shown to be the most effective for improved performance, and if they know how to find quality video resources that will improve their lessons.

Technology is the branch of knowledge that deals with creating and using technical methods, such as tools and crafts, to interact with the life, society and the environment. Beginning with the conversion of natural resources into simple tools, technology has influenced human society and the enviroment in a variety of ways:
Assisted in the development of more advanced economies

Allowed the emergence of a privileged class

Helped develop the global economy of today

Philosophical debates continue regarding the current and future applications, mainly on technology improves the human condition or worsens it.

Computer technology is a good example. Computers have certainly changed the way people just about everything, including how they treat personal do business, communicate, companies, and how our children are taught. We would like to suggest that these centres also a variety of educational DVDs and videos for those students who learn best with the added audio visual element that these media provide. Because children learn at different rate, otherwise, require different stimuli, when technology integration in the lessons, it's important to want to use for all forms of technology-not just a few.
